Alyssa Milton
LMHC-QS, LPC-CPCS, LPCC
Clinical Director
Alyssa Milton, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor, registered in the state of Florida (LMHC), Georgia, and Colorado (LPC), Minnesota (LPCC), and Virginia (LPC), and California (LPCC). Alyssa has been working in the field of mental health since 2012, as she has experience as a Mental Health Technician, a case manager on the outpatient level, and a therapist. She has worked with various populations, including veterans, adults, teenagers, and children.

Focusing on "millennial" therapy, Alyssa will assist you in your life challenges. Alyssa works hard to improve one's quality of life. As a Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectal Behavioral trained therapist, including being trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Alyssa works closely with her clients to process daily life struggles, traumas, and abnormal behaviors.

Alyssa is a graduate of Florida A&M University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and she received her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Alyssa continues to work with other clinicians in the community through trainings and other treatment teams to meet client's needs and to increase professional development.

Alyssa has assisted with several mental health workshops, and has even been featured on TV One's Hit Series: "Fatal Attraction".

Jessica Candelo, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Jessica has been working in the mental health field since 2018. She has experience working as a case manager in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in substance use, depression anxiety and stress management. Jessica is a proud Marine Corp Veteran which also aided in her expertise with the military community. Jessica is also fluent in Spanish.


Shanice Keith, MS
Registered Mental Health Intern
Shanice has spent the past few years working closely with children under nine, and now support clients across the lifespan, from kids to adults on their unique healing journeys and recently started with Alternative Directions. She specializes in anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, ADHD, grief, trauma, and play therapy. Her approach is strength-based and solution-focused, meaning she helps you build on what’s already within you while giving you practical tools to move forward.
